CURRENT AND UPCOMING PROJECTS

The ORKSS team are guest editing a "Modernising hip fracture surgery" themed edition of the Open Orthopaedic Journal, with contributions from many of our colleagues in the region.

A multi-centre study of wound complications with distal fibula fixations has been presented internationally and won 2nd prize regionally.

Two projects on quality improvement in hip fracture surgery have recently concluded.

We're setting up a Cochrane review of surgical management of syndesmotic injuries.

Ongoing are projects on transfusion in trauma, outcomes in arthroplasty and decision making in ankle fractures.

If you have a project idea you need help with or would like to run as a collaborative study, please use the contact form to get in touch.

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT WHEN CONSIDERING A PROJECT

Have a question or hypothesis in mind, and think about how it might best be answered, supported or refuted.

What setting do you need - trauma centre, DGH or primary care? Can your question be answered practically and ethically?

The more information you can provide early on, the quicker we can help you bring your project to fruition.
